Twisters and Thirty Stones to Rock on February 18, 2006
The Massachusetts Twisters will not be the only team rocking the Eastern States Coliseum when the American Indoor Soccer Club opens their 2005-06 campaign on February 18th. "Thirty Stones", a well-known Springfield-area rock band will perform at halftime when the Twisters host the league-leading Cincinnati Excite. The band performs a combination of covers of well known "metal" bands and a selection of original material. In addition to the free halftime concert, Twisters fans will also be a part of the team's second annual benefit night for the Molly Bish "Lifeguard" Foundation. Proceeds from the game will be donated to the foundation, which promotes "child safety through education and prevention". The organizaion is named for Molly Bish, a 16-year-old girl from nearby Comins Pond, who was abducted in the summer of 2000. Now in it's third season, the American Indoor Soccer League has offices in West Springfield, MA (Administrative) and Cleveland, OH (Media Relations).
