Twisters Team Up With Area Boys and Girls Clubs!
In order to kick off their 2007-08 community relations efforts, Bill Bullock, general manager of the defending American Indoor Soccer League champion Massachusetts Twisters announced today that the club has scheduled two free soccer clinics for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Springfield and Westfield.
"This is the first step of many in getting the Twisters involved in the community" Bullock said "Over the next few weeks I plan on getting the Twisters working with many other organizations."
On July 27th, the Twisters will be presenting a soccer clinic for the Boys and Girls Clubs in Springfield. On August 23rd, the team will be visiting the Westfield Boys and Girls Clubs to host a similar soccer clinic.
In addition, during the 2007-08 season, the Twisters will be dedicating one of their home games at the Eastern States Coliseum to the Boys and Girls Clubs. On that night, the kids will also participate in an on-field parade at halftime and will have a special meet and greet with Twisters players and coaches.
