Twisters Unveil New Look for 2006-07!
This morning, Massachusetts Twisters owner Paul LaPointe announced that his team would have a new logo for the 2006-07 season.
The new logo, designed by league director of media relations Rich Paschette, is a complete departure from the insignia that the club has used since it's inaugural season. Gone is the snarling red twister, replaced by a stylized gray funnel cloud with red and black lettering.
"Rich and I had discussed over the past few months the possibility of revamping the Twisters logo," LaPointe said. "He showed me several different concepts that he came up with, and the most recent one was the logo that hit me as being a winner."
"We plan on retaining the use of the original Twister logo for 'youth-related' promotions and programs. However, we wanted to come up with a little something more 'modern' for our main insignia, and we are thrilled with what Rich designed, and are grateful for his work."
The Twisters will start their fourth American Indoor Soccer League season next November. Now in it's fourth season, the American Indoor Soccer League has offices in West Springfield, MA (Administrative) and Cleveland, OH (Media Relations).
